I stopped who I can only describe as a “recent migrant to Australia from India” at the shops the other day and gave him a direct dressing down right outside the self checkout because he just grabbed his bags from his trolley and started to walk away, leaving it in the middle of the shops. “No way mate, get your trolley and put it away, we do not do that shit here.” So he stopped, walked it back to the bay, and went on his way, head down.
My daughter was in shock, because I said the word shit, hahaha, but then I explained exactly the premise of this piece to her. This country is built on us considering others without a second thought or asking for praise.
It's the most bizzare thing seeing people behave this way. This sense of entitlement and arrogance to walk through life with zero regard on how your actions, words impact others. Its a hill I'll die on thrice
